Our Mission

The efforts at CCAI would strive for best at discovering, benchmarking and sharing best legal practices, and delivering them to members across the country. It is committed to carter to the interests of its members by creating networking opportunities with like-minded and best professionals in the industry. Providing access to opportunities for professional development on topics of interest through events such as seminars, workshops, conferences as well as periodic updates; Liaising with selected professional bodies locally and overseas for mutual benefit; Providing a platform from which to develop and enhance the profile of the Association by highlighting the role of its members as solution providers to the organizations development and growth.

The CCAI vision is to be the premier organisation for the facilitation and promotion of networking, knowledge-sharing and continuing legal education for the in-house counsel community in India thereby enhancing their value to any organisation in which they serve, and raising their profile among the legal fraternity and the general public.

What We Do

To meet our mission objectives, the CCAI would be hosting various networking and educational events in major metro cities through its sectorial Committees, in a multitude of venues and program formats. Events include breakfast, lunch and dinner meetings with and without speakers; cocktail parties for prominent General Counsels; Retreats and residential summits; awards dinners; conferences & Conclaves; and special one-off meetings
The initiatives would be planned and organized through a democratic process by knowing what in-house counsel want to learn, to hear, to advocate and to participate in, and we believe we know how to organize activities to meet these needs.

About CCAI

The Corporate Counsel Association of India is established under Section 25 of Companies Act, 1956 (corresponding Section 8 of Companies Act, 2013) and is not for profit organization with the sole intention to promote togetherness, exchange of ideas amongst the in house counsels, Share Knowledge, and professional development of Corporate Counsels.


The aim of this association is to bring them together at a common platform all the in house counsels and exchange ideas, views and discuss problems openly and share the views. The intention of this association is also to handhold the juniors and set an example of professional ethics so that the in house counsels are not taken as a person who is not aware of the business commitments as well as the laws to be complied with. This association is primarily established to develop in house counsels who can act as catalyst to business without breaking the law.


This association also aims to have a better professional relationship with the Practicing Professionals like Advocates and Company Secretaries etc. Therefore, the association also invites those professionals to meet, deliberate and understand the needs of the In-house Counsel so that a better synergy is developed.


The Association is a non- political professional body and its objectives will cover all people irrespective of their caste, creed and religion. In order to achieve its objectives, the Association may develop a structure, norms, funding strategy, programs and activities from time to time. It can promote and provide for training, research and education in the field of law; can award certificates and engage in research, consultancy and publication, collaborate with other institutions and organizations in related fields in India and overseas; enter into agreement with the government or other statutory bodies; and engage in all such other lawful things as may be considered conducive or incidental to the attainment of the above objectives.
